Yangon Universities Hiking and Mountaineering Association hosted the ceremony for pyaing homage to patrons. It was hold in the Yangon University Dhamma Hall on University Avenue, Yangon on 22nd November 2008 (Saturday) at Yangon University Dhamma Hall.

We would like to invite all hikers in Myanmar and your family to our 13th Annual Paying Homage Ceremony to our patrons.
The ceremony will be hosted by Yangon Universities Hiking and Mountaineering Association. It will held in the Yangon University Dhamma Hall on University Avenue, Yangon.

Hikers paid respect to Sayar Myo (U Myo Thant) as a ThidinGyut activity at 10:30AM, Sunday October 19 at Innwa Hall, in Yangon University. Some members attended the ceremony with their new generations.

Training for Mt. Victoria Trip 2007 |

| | YUHM will set to climb Mt. Victoria, Chin State on 27th December 2007. New members are advised to start the training now. Now training will be 4 time per week. Training Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Starting Time: 5:30 AM Starting Location: Yangon University (A Di Pa Di Gate). Please bring your own backpack and practice putting weight in it.
As we have only 3 week to do the training, let's do the training hard friends!!! (Sent by Kha Lout) |

First Fact
Place : WaiPonLa Mountain Range, Mon State, Myanmar
Trip Date : From July 19 to 22 July 2007
Members : 146 (46 from Co-operative degree college)
This is the first time for Co-operative Degree College to join with us.
The team has done special activity during this year trip like planting golden bamboo and mango trees (Sein talone, Mya kyaut) at WaiPonla monastery.
Total 146 members from Yangon University, Dagon University, East Yangon University, Nursing University, University of Foreign Language, Maubin University, Institute if Medicine-2, University of Distant Education(Yangon, Mandalay) and Co-operative Degree College joined this trip.

YUHM members will be leaving Yangon to WaiPonLa Mountains in Bilin Township, Mon State, Myanmar on 19 July 2007. This is annual training trip for members. Members will offer Waso robes and provisions to monasteries on Waiponla Mountains during the trip.
Total of 180 members will join this trip. This year new members from Co-Operative College will join. The team will arrive back to Yangon on 22 July 2007 (Sunday).
Last year, record number of 210 members joined this trip. Members were from Yangon University, Dagon University, Yangon Eastern University, Yangon Western University, Nursing University, Institute of Medicine 2, Maubin University, Dental University and 1986 and 1996 generations joined this trip.
